Attention Parents

On Wednesday, August 10, 2016 there will be an informational meeting for all junior and senior parents and their students.  Mr. Linn and Mr. Acton will present information regarding college planning and the application process, ACT and SAT testing and scholarship searching.  The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m in the Tri-West High School Auditorium.

On Wednesday, August 17, 2016 there will be an informational meeting for all freshman parents and their students.  Mr. Linn and Mr. Acton will present information regarding the 4 different diploma types and the requirements for each diploma.  The meeting will be held in the Auditorium and will start at 7:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, September 7, 2016 there will be an informational meeting for all junior and senior parents and their students.  Mr. Linn will present information regarding financial aid and scholarships.  In addition, Mr. Matt Krieg, Marketing Associate for ISM College Planning will present information on financing the cost of college.   This meeting will take place in the Tri-West High School Auditorium.  It will begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at approximately 8:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, February 21, 2017 Dave Murray from the National Center for College Costs will be available to assist you and your child in completing the 2017 FAFSA form.  He will be in the Media Center Computer Lab to help you complete the form.  This is a free service.  He will be here from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Attention all students and parents: ECA Retest Exams

The Algebra I ECA (End of Course Assessment) and English 10 ECA Exam retakes will be held on December 5 & 6,  2016.  This is for students that have taken the Algebra I ECA and English 10 ECA in the past and did not pass the exam.   Passing this exam is required for graduation for the classes of 2016, 2017, and 2018.

Beginning with the Class of 2019, all students must take and pass the English/Language Arts ISTEP and the Mathematics ISTEP Exams.  These two exams become the new Graduation Qualifying Exam.  These exams are broken down into two parts.  Part I will be given February 27, 2017 through March 10, 2017.  Part II will be given April 17, 2017 through May 5, 2017.

In addition, students will take the Science ISTEP Exam in the March and May of the year they are enrolled in Biology I.  Passing this exam is not a requirement for graduation. 

Attention Juniors and Sophomores

Faculty and staff members from Area 31 Career Center will be at Tri-West High School on the morning of January 22, 2016.  They will meet with students during first hour.  This meeting is for students interested in attending classes at Area 31 Career Center next year.

8th Grade Parents

Mr. Acton (A-K) and Mr. Linn (L-Z) will be at Tri-West Middle School on January 30, 2017 to present information on selecting courses for the 2017-2018.  We will be in Mrs. Koontz's math classes presenting information on which courses to select and how to select them.  All course selections will be made through the child's Harmony account.  Click on "Course Request" to make your selection.  Mr. Acton (A-K) and and Mr. Linn (L-Z) will return to meet with your child individually on February 13 & 14, 2017 to finalize the course selections.  Course selections can be changed by contacting Mr. Acton (A-K) or Mr. Linn (L-Z).

Parent Meeting for 8th grade parents is scheduled for Wednesday, February 1, 2017 @ 7:00 p.m. in the High School Auditorium.
