Wednesday, May 23

1.  Any students wishing to participate in summer camps for the following sports, be sure to stop in the office on your way out today for registration forms:

Volleyball

2.  8th grade boys and girls who want to play soccer next year at the high school, be sure to stop in the office for summer workout schedules.

3.  Anyone interested in spell bowl next year, you can grab a spell bowl list from the main office for you to study this summer before you leave.

4.  One last chance to purchase a yearbook before you leave today!   See Mrs. Rawlings in the office.

Tuesday, May 22

1.  Any 8th grade boy who is interested in playing soccer next year at the high school, be sure to stop in the office for a copy of the summer workout schedule from Coach Bontreger.

2.  Any 8th grade girls interested in joining the golf team next year at the high school,  Coach Pemberton will be starting in late June with voluntary workouts and will officially start with the first required practice on July 27th.  If you or your parents have questions, please contact Mr. Pemberton over at the high school.
 
3.  Band students,  Mrs. Hewitt would like to remind you to take your instruments home tonight.
 
4.  Attention all 8th graders:   you will need your Eggonomics Checkbook and a pencil tomorrow.  Don't forget to dress for the weather AND according to dress code.  Consider bringing a hat, sunscreen and a bottle of water for the afternoon field day activities 
 
5.  8th graders - you were supposed to have turned in grade sheets and bell ringers to Mrs. Koontz, if you were absent, get them to her before leaving.
 
​6.  Algebra Students - don't forget if you won't be here tomorrow to turn in your algebra book to Mrs. Koontz today.​
 
7.   Attention 8th grade students:  If you want your career tri-fold poster, please get it from the 8th grade team room when you leave school today. All poster boards that are left in the team room tonight will be recycled.
 
8.  Also, any 8th grade student that has a US History Student of the Week ticket, please turn it into Mrs. Diagostino BEFORE you leave school today!
 
9.  Any 6th or 7th grade boy who plans to play football next year at the middle school, summer camp information is now available in the main office.  Be sure to stop by the office on your way out today or in the morning to take home information about the July Middle School football camp.  
 
10.  If you haven't already, be sure to start cleaning out your locker and taking any items home with you tonight and NOT WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW.
 
11.  There is a LIMITED number of extra yearbooks available for sale for $25!  Please stop by the main office if you would like to purchase one.

Friday, May 18

1.  If you are interested in wrestling next year at the middle school and did not attend the meeting this morning in Mr. Sullivan's room, please stop in the office and sign up and get the information that Mr. Sullivan had available.

2.  6th graders will be recognized at their annual awards and DARE Graduation program Monday morning at 8:30am.  Make sure your parents are aware and plan to attend!

3.  Girls Night In will meet this Sunday, May 20th from 6:00 to 8:30pm at 1500 E. Main St. in Brownsburg.  This month's topic is "confidence/courage".  For more information, check out any girls restroom or pick up a flyer in the main office.

4.  Attention all students!  Yearbooks will be distributed Monday during lunch for those who pre-ordered.  There will be a LIMITED number of extras available for sale for $25.

Thursday, May 17

1. FCA will meet tomorrow at 7:30 in the gym

2. There will also be a brief call-out meeting for any/all 6-8 graders interested in wrestling next year. Meet with Coach Sullivan in his room during PRIDE this Friday morning.

3. Reminder, School-issued laptops will be collected this Friday.

Tuesday, May 15

1.  Congratulations to our girls track team for winning the Sagamore Conference championship trophy at Northridge Middle School last night.  Our conference champions for the team were Ava S. in the shot put and discuss, and Maliyah D. in the long jump and 200 meter dash.  Maliyah was also the county champ in the long jump and also broke the school record in the long jump at an earlier meet this year.  Great season by the Lady Bruins!

2.   Mr. Stippich's PRIDE has taken the lead in the Boxtops competition this month.  Students, please bring in any box tops that you have at home  by FRIDAY!!! 
 
3.   Reminder to all students:  There will no open gym at the high school this week.  
 
4.    Also, reminder to students about tomorrow night's Hendricks Regional Health athletic physical night at the high school.  If you plan to participate in athletics either at the high school or middle school next school year, this is a great way for you to get this requirement out of the way so you can participate in summer camps and practices and be prepared for team try outs in the fall.  Remind your parents of this event.  Again, that's tomorrow, Wednesday, May 16th, starting at 6:00.
 
5.  For students who received a loaner laptop from the school,  we will be collecting them this Friday.

3.  Attention all MS football players:   Have you been working on your fund raisers?  Please look into this as it will help fund new jerseys, and new equipment.  If you have any questions, see Coach Sullivan.  Also, plan ahead for equipment issue on May 17th after school until 4:30.  You will receive a playbook as well.

4. Good luck to the members of the track team as the will finish competing in the conference track meet tonight.  Meet begins at 5:30.  Good luck runners!!

Friday, May 11

  1. Attention all MS football players:  Have you been working on your fund raisers? Please look into this as it will help fund new jerseys, and new equipment. If you have any questions, see Coach Sullivan. Also, plan ahead for equipment issue on May 17th after school until 4:30.  You will receive a playbook as well.
     
  2. Anyone who has a library book out, or needs to pay for a lost book, should do that by the end of the day on Monday! We will not be checking out any books after today.  Look for ebooks to read this summer by following the links on OPAC!
     
  3. Last night, the track and field teams competed in the field events portion of the Sagamore Athletic Conference Championship meet. After day one, the girls team is leading going into the running portion of the meet.  Ava S. came away as conference champ in both the shot put and discus. Maliyah D. is Conference champ in the long jump. Congratulations! Runners will complete in the final portion of the championship on Monday.
     
  4. Reminder, there will be NO OPEN GYM on Monday at the high school after school.
     
  5. The following students need to see Mrs. Koontz before you go home today to pick up your final exam packet:  Emily R., Bri W. and Connor E.

  1. Reminder to all students who plan to participate in athletics next year, Athletic Physical night will be held on Wednesday May 16th at the high school starting at 6 pm.

  3. Tri-West High School is offering drivers ed classes to any student who has turned 15 years of age. If you meet this criteria and wish to know more, please stop in the office for more information.
