4.  Seniors - As a reminder, we will be hosting a FAFSA Night on Monday, Nov. 15th, in which financial aid experts from INvestEd will be here to assist families in filing the 2022-2023 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).  You may come in anytime between 3:30 - 7:00 p.m. for assistance.  It will be located in the Ivy Tech Room D101 and entrance is through Door 1.  Please note this is not a presentation, but rather a time to receive assistance with the FAFSA.  Please have your student bring their chromebook or a personal laptop for this event.  This is also a great opportunity should you have financial aid questions.

The 2022-2023 FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.gov .  Completing the FAFSA is the most important step in the financial aid process and determines eligibility for both state of Indiana and federal aid.  The FAFSA requires your 2020 tax return and April 15, 2022 is the state deadline to file the FAFSA.  However, many colleges/universities have their own FAFSA filing deadline dates.  It is important to check financial aid websites of colleges/universities to ensure their FAFSA deadline is met

In preparation of completing the FAFSA, please visit www.investedindiana.org/fafsa for a FAFSA Checklist and guide on how to create your FSA (Federal Student Aid) ID.  The FAFSA checklist indicates what items will be needed while completing the FAFSA online.  In regard to the FSA ID, the FAFSA will require each student and parent to create an FSA ID.
