Our Director
Paige Hewitt is from Pittsboro and graduated from Tri-West in 2008. She participated in every aspect the instrumental music program had to offer; concert band, pep band, marching band, and winter drumline. She was also a drum major for the Marching Blue Alliance. Post-graduation, Paige studied at Indiana State University and received her bachelor’s degree in Instrumental Music Education. While at Indiana State she was a drum major for the Marching Sycamores, band council vice president, and treasurer for Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Band Fraternity. The ISU Marching Sycamores is where Paige met her husband, James, who plays trumpet. Upon graduating, they were married and lived in Terre Haute for a short time. During this time Paige maintained a job at a local music store and worked as a private instructor for woodwind and brass students, as well as an instrument repair tech. In January 2013, Paige got her first teaching job as the band director at West Washington Schools. She has now been the band director at Tri-West since May 2015. As an alum of the Tri-West band program, Paige’s goal is to continue to grow the program and maintain the excellence that she knows the program to have.
