Tuesday, May 21st

1. Band students, please take home your instruments tonight!! 

2. Any 8th grade girl wanting to go to Vincennes camp for the high school basketball over the summer needs to make sure to get Mrs. Perry their $50 deposit before school is out or at the parent meeting May 27th at 9 am

3. Just a reminder that you will be able to purchase pop tomorrow during field day, so be sure bring some extra money!! 

4. We still have Annalise bracelets for sale for $1!  Please see Mrs. Fox if you would like to purchase one.

Monday, May 20th

Attention all football players:

1. If you missed the equipment issue date last Thursday, there will be another equipment issue after school Tuesday (tomorrow).  You will need to be picked up by 4:00.   If you miss this date, you can get equipment on the first day of team camp; June 3rd.  

2. If you need a playbook copy, stop by Coach Sullivan's room during your lunch.

1. There are extra yearbooks for sale in the office for $25.  Please see Mrs. Brock if you would like to purchase one. 

2. Please be sure you are cleaning out your lockers and taking things home with you each day! 

3. Field Day is Wednesday and you will be able to purchase pop for $1!

1. Good luck to Ava S tomorrow as she competes at the Middle School State Track Meet!

2. There are a limited number of extra yearbooks for sale for $25!  You can purchase one in the front office from Mrs. Brock. 

3. A reminder to 8th graders planning to play football next year, you will be meeting at the high school after school to enter your fundraiser emails. It will be a short meeting and your parents can pick you up at the high school. 

4. Reminder that there is NO late start Wednesday on the last day of school.  School will start at regular time.

1. Reminder to the 8th graders: Your awards program is tonight starting at 7:00.  Please arrive no later than 6:45.  
 
2. FCA will meet tomorrow morning at 7:45 in the gym. 
 
3. Yearbooks are in and will be passed out during lunch tomorrow to those who pre-ordered them. If you didn't order a yearbook, there are a limited number of extras available for purchase for $25. Again if you are wanting to purchase a yearbook, bring $25 cash or check!
 
4.  Now would be a good time to start cleaning out your locker and taking things home that are not needed!!

Tuesday, May 14th

1. The 8th grade awards program will be this Thursday, May 16th at 7:00 pm.  Students need to arrive by 6:45. 

2. Last night at North Mont, the Bruins participated in the track portion of the Sagamore Athletic Conference track and field meet.  The girls team finished 3rd and were led by overall champs Danica J in the 100 meter dash and Ava S with a new conference and school record in the discus.

The boys team battled through illness and injury as they have all season.  Nick M led the way with an individual title in the 1600m run

Congrats to both teams on a great season.  Make sure to get your uniforms back to Mr. Powers as soon as possible.

Monday, May 13th

1. Students planning to help at tonight's Champions Together track meet need to stop by Mrs. Workman's room BEFORE leaving today.

2. The High School is needing someone to run the scoreboard, and announce for tonight and tomorrow night for softball/baseball games.  Any student or staff interested, please see Mrs. Saylor or Mr. Begle. 

3. Athletic Physical Night will be held on Wednesday, May 15th, starting at 5:30, at Tri-West High School.   You have to have an appointment!

Friday, May 10th

1. Any 8th grader interested in helping with the Champions Together unified track meet needs to stop by Mrs. Workman's room BEFORE leaving today.

2. Attention all student athletes: The ATHLETIC PHYSICAL NIGHT at the High School is next Wednesday May 15th.  This is a great way to get your physical taken care of and put on file for the next athletic season.  See the front office or school web site for details.

3. Attention all Middle School football players: Equipment handout will be next THURSDAY May 16th after school.  Players will also have an optional speed and agility session with Coach Gossett.  If you have any questions, please see Coach Sullivan.

4. The Sagamore Conference Track and Field meet began last night at North Montgomery High School with the field event participants competing. Results are:

1. Mrs. Fay wants everyone to be aware that all library books are due back in the library by Friday, May 10th.  If you have lost a library book you will need to pay the replacements cost by this  Friday May, 10th. 

2. Calling all students going into 7th and 8th Grade, Girls and Boys interested in Volleyball!  That's right, Boys too.  This will be the 1st year we are including the boys due to the new development of the boys club team at the High School. 

There will be 2 opportunities for you to develop your skills.

The Summer Camp run by the Varsity Volleyball girls and Club boys and a Weekly Skills training opportunity organized by Mrs. Spoonemore.

Go to the office or directly to Mrs. Spoonemore for the proper forms and info.

1. 7th Grader, Braxton J, competed in the 2019 Men’s Junior Olympic National Championships this past week.  He placed 8th in the All-Around competition and 4th in the High Bar.  Congratulations, Braxton!

2. Congratulations to the AAU Team Showcase for winning the Division 2 Middle School state this past weekend.  Tri-West players include Reagan C, Abby D, and Ava S.  Congratulations!

1.  Carnival tickets are on sale now!!!!  You don't want to miss it!  Tickets are being sold in the office, and during lunches tomorrow!  Get yours for only $8!!!  Tickets will be at the door for $10.  Be sure to get yours and join us for tons of fun!!

3. Girls softball games for tonight have been canceled!  

4.  Tomorrow is national prayer day and we will be meeting at the flagpole (weather permitting) at 8:05am for a short prayer.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  If the weather does not permit, we will be meeting in the gym.

Tuesday, April 30th

1.  Attn 8th grade boys:  If you go to the high school for football practice after school, there is no practice.  There will still be weight lifting, but not fooball. 

2. Just a reminder that pre-sale tickets are on sale now for the Carnival on Friday afternoon!!  Pre-Sale tickets are $8, and will be $10 at the door!  Be sure to get yours!!!  Also, there will be a cornhole tournament!  Find a partner and stop by the office to sign up! 

3. Be sure you have your chromebooks here tomorrow charged and ready to go!!  Also be sure to bring a pair of headphones with you as you will need them for testing.

5. Congratulations to all Academic Super Bowl participants. This past weekend they competed in the regional Academic Super Bowl Competition. The results for Class 2 were released and in the regional competition:

English Bowl earned 2nd place

Social Studies  Bowl earned 2nd place

Math Bowl earned 2nd place

Science Bowl earned 1st place

The Interdisciplinary Team earned 1st place

A special recognition needs to be given to our Science Bowl team who earned 6th place in the entire state of Indiana that had 56 other schools in our division!!!

Congratulations one more time to all participants for their hard work and effort!!
