8th Grade Awards and Recognition Night is the Thursday, May 19 @ 6:00pm in the MS gym. This is an opportunity for all students to be recognized for successfully completing their middle school careers. Teachers will also recognize various individual for classroom awards.
The Middle School Fine Arts Night (FAN) is this Thursday, May 5. Student artwork will be displayed in the main hallway from 6-7pm, while the combined choir/band performances will start at 7:00pm in the MS gym.
The last day for ILEARN testing is tomorrow. This is only for Grade 6 Science and those in Biology in Grade 8. The only students remaining would be any student that might have missed a day of testing and still not made it up. Thanks for the support during ILEARN!
To all Parents and Students: We are NOT in school on Friday, April 29 and Monday, May 2. Enjoy the 4-day weekend. We return to school on Tuesday, May 3.
The Math ILEARN is complete for a vast majority of students. We will get back after next Tuesday and Wednesday with our English sections. Please continue to reinforce the importance of students taking their time and doing their best.
The NWHSC district-wide art show is this Friday from 6-8pm and Saturday from noon-2pm at the high school gymnasium. This is a great chance to see work from our talented students in grade K-12
Parents and Students: We will NOT be in school on Friday, February 18 or Monday, February 21. This is part of our mid-winter break and Presidents Day. Enjoy the extended four day weekend.
The Middle School fundraiser was pushed back a week due to the snowstorm. It will now run from February 10 thru March 3. All profits go towards our Renaissance program to help recognize the great things our students are doing.
Just a reminder to 8th grade parents that the HS counselors will be visiting the Middle School on Thursday, February 10th to start talking about HS scheduling. There is also a parent meeting this night at the HS to discuss class schedules for the 2022-2023 school year. This meeting takes place at 6:30 in the HS Auditorium. You can enter door 5 for this February 10th meeting.

Our 2nd School wide Fundraiser does begin on Thursday, February 3rd and runs through February 22nd. All money earned goes directly towards our Renaissance efforts. This helps us recognize the great things our students and staff do on a daily basis. The 5 R's of Renaissance include; Recognition, Reinforcement, Rewards, Respect, and Results.
Parents: Just a reminder that Friday, February 4th is another ELearning day for all students in NWHSC, including the Middle School. Students should attend every class virtually, starting with 1st Period @ 8:00am. Please help us by reinforcing to your students the importance of being present each period!
Students, tomorrow (December 22) is the last day to get any late/missing work into your teachers. Enjoy your break!
Our last day before winter break is a LATE START Wednesday. Enjoy the extra few minutes of sleep, as it is a normal late start day.
The Middle School choir concert is scheduled for 7:00pm on Monday, December 20th and will be held in the MS gymnasium. This is for all choir students in grades 6-8.
If your student is interested in the play, try-outs for parts are December 15 and 16. Students have had several days to sign up for which day they prefer to try-out after school. There is still information in the front office available.
Grades are due for teachers by the end of the day on Wednesday, January 5th . The Middle School will plan to send an email on Thursday, January 6th letting parents know reports cards are available for viewing.
The end of the first semester is Wednesday, December 22. This means all missing work is due by the end of the day on 12/22.
Parents: Midterms are scheduled to come out this coming Wednesday, November 17. You will receive an email that afternoon letting you know grades are updated a represent your student's grades as of the halfway point of the nine weeks.
Reminder: Boy's Basketball Athletic Pictures are Tuesday, November 16. They should receive packet from coach to take home for those interested in purchasing pictures.
