Education Fund
The Education Fund represents approximately 51% of the school corporation budget.
Revenues to the Education Fund come from:
Indiana State Tuition funding per student
State funding determined by the corporation enrollment of low income and foster care students
State funding determined by additional enrollment counts of special education students, career and technical course enrollments and non-English speaking students
State funding for summer school reimbursement
Local funding from Cubs pre-school enrollments
Local funding from Tri-West Driver Education program enrollments
Interest Income on investments
** Based upon the most recent data from fiscal year 24, North West Hendricks received the 4th smallest overall per student funding in the state of Indiana. That puts North West Hendricks in the bottom 1% of per student funding.
Expenditures from the Education Fund go to:
Expenditures from the Education Fund go directly toward student education expenses in the classroom.
Teachers, Counselors, Instructional Aides, Building Administration, Administrative Assistants Salary and Benefits
Student Education related costs (career center fees, summer school, Cubs pre-school, Driver Education, teacher training, classroom related technology, classroom supplies, textbooks and curricular costs
Operations Fund transfer to cover costs that, prior to 2019, were paid from the general fund.
