Mrs. Susan Alcorn has been selected as the new Principal for PPS! Susan Alcorn has enthusiastically served children during her professional career now spanning three decades. Mrs. Alcorn began her professional career 30 years ago as a classroom teacher in Mishawaka, Indiana. Mrs. Alcorn most recently served 4 years as the Principal of Tri Elementary with the South Henry School Corporation. Prior to her most recent position, Mrs. Alcorn worked as a principal and assistant principal in a large urban school district in Indianapolis for several years. She has also held positions with the Indiana Department of education providing professional development for school principals and school safety plan auditing.
Mrs. Alcorn grew up in South Bend, Indiana, and has lived in central Indiana for the past 15 years. Mrs. Alcorn earned her bachelor's degree, master’s degree, and certification in School Leadership from Indiana University. In May, 2018, Mrs. Alcorn completed with distinction the one-year National Principal Academy Fellowship (NPAF) with the Relay Graduate School of Education.
