Read Across America Week started today!
2nd grade talked about kindness and read the book The Jelly Donut Difference. Our theme was "Donut" Underestimate The Power of Kindness. We had donuts to celebrate! We also had Becca VanSlyke as our high school reader today!




So much fun watching Cubs PK students learn all about the voting process. They have voter registration cards, mark their ballots, get "I VOTED" stickers, and watch the results come in on the "TV". Who do you think won the election for Best Storybook Character?




4th grade students learning about chemical changes by making lava lamps and invisible ink.



A big Thank You! to TWHS Distinguished Young Woman, Madelyn Dickerson, for presenting to our 1st graders about Being Your Best Self.


It is especially heartwarming when strangers show care and support towards our school. Thank you to Michelle at Danville Kroger for her donation to our student prize drawer!

Our Hendricks County 4-H Queen, Becca Van Slyke, visited NSES on Friday to promote involvement with 4-H. We are proud to call Miss Van Slyke a Blue Devil! Thank you for a fun visit.




Join Dr. Syverson for coffee and donuts at NSES in the cafe tomorrow, January 19th at 8:30am. This is a great time to hear about all of the things going on in the district and ask questions! We hope you will join us!
